Please pray for Pastor Gomez and his wife right now. They are the couple who have overseen the First Baptist Church of Venezuela in Acarigua for 40 years, and are directly responsible for planting more churches and missions than anyone else in Venezuela. All the churches with which Parkview works are offshoots from their 40 year efforts.
Both were hospitalized this week in Barquisimeto. Pastor Gomez is in a diabetic coma, his blood sugar have gone above 800. Sister Placida is hospitalized with congestive heart failure problems. The work in Venezuela will suffer from their loss.
They are also responsible for the PROISAPRES school for street children, a facility that feeds and educates more than 250 kids from the street every day.
